In fulfillment of the promise made by the Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, to make the collapsed Ojubode Junction, a section of Awolowo/Baiyeku Road, motorable, the construction giant, HiTech Construction Company has been moved to the site on Monday.
When our reporter visited the site this afternoon, the construction company already laid iron pipe along the damaged portion for passage of waste water into the drainage system that passed through Yewa area of Igbogbo.
The intervention by the council marks a significant step forward in the Council’s determination to relieve residents especially motorists and other road users of torturing experiences that they have had to endure for many years that the road has remained collapsed.

According to the media aide to the council chairman, Oluwaseun Ajayi, the council intervention is aimed at enhancing connectivity and easing vehicular movement along the axis and to assure that the road will soon become motorable once again.
He assured of the chairman’s commitment in delivering projects that directly impact the people.
However, residents and motorists have expressed their appreciation to the council leadership for responding swiftly to their concerns and for demonstrating a continued commitment to the GLORY Agenda, a vision centered on Good Governance, Livability, Opportunities, Reform, and Youth Empowerment.

Recall that the administration of Omo’ba Aroyewun had some weeks back brought in the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) to do a palliative on the same portion of the road.
