The Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, has congratulated the Tripple O All-Stars Football Club of lmota, for their outstanding performance in securing victory against Igbogbo All-Star Football Club, which qualified the team for the semi-finals of the Ikorodu Constituency II AMA Unity All-Stars Championship.
The quarter-final match was played on Saturday, at Imota Community Grammar School, lmota.
The game ended with a thrilling penalty shootouts, ending in favour of Tripple O All Stars, with 5 – 4 aggregate, allowing them to advance to the semi-finals, while their supporters jubilated following the match-winning display.
Hon. Benson praised the Tripple O All Stars for their impressive display, noting that they scored an incredible goal just three minutes into the match.
He also charged the team to win the second edition of the tournament and bring he cup to Imota.
“I celebrate the Tripple O All-Stars Football Club for their victory in the quarter-final match and for qualifying for the semi-finals.
“I look forward to their participation in the next round. I strongly believe that the team have the potential to reach the final stage and bring the cup home.
“I can’t wait to celebrate this achievement with you. Congratulations once again, champions”, he said.
He also commended Hon. (Dr.) Aro Moshood Abiodun for the laudable initiative that brings together all the communities in Ikorodu Constituency II, and his interest in community development.
