The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has acknowledged the strength in faith, character and dedication of the elder statesman, His Eminence, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, on his birthday today.
In a statement commemorating 87th birthday of Baba Aladura Basorun, the three term lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Defense, said that the political, community and spiritual leader has over the time display rare and uncommon characters that make him an outstanding figure.
“Today, on this special day, I join family, friends, and countless admirers in honouring a living legend, Baba Aladura, Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, a leader whose life is a testament to character, faith, and dedication to humanity.
“You have walked a path few dare tread: combining the mantle of statesmanship with devout spirituality, guiding with humility, speaking truth with clarity, and exemplifying the virtues of Omoluabi – honour, respect, courage, and integrity.”
Rep. Benson said that Baba Basorun’s verse experience and commanding heights in many areas of human endeavours, emphasised his life of purpose.
“Your journey through banking, law, public service, community development, and spiritual leadership, testifies to a life of many parts, each part shaped by purpose, conviction, and service. You remain a beacon for those who aspire to lead by example rather than acclaim.
