Hon. Benson Sunday, the Executive Chairman, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA)of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, has assured of his administration’s collaboration with the legislatures for the purpose of improving the welfare of residents of the council.
The council chairman reiterated the assurance today when the Forum of Deputy Leaders of Local Government Legislative Councils in Ikorodu Division, paid him a courtesy visit. The delegation was led by the State Vice Chairman of the Forum, Councilor (Lion) Batife Daisi, who also serves as the Deputy Leader, Ikorodu West LCDA.
Hon. Benson, expressing his gratitude to the forum for their solidarity and support for their various executives, assured them of his administration’s commitment on continued collaboration to enhance the welfare and well-being of residents in Imota LCDA.
He commended the Councilors’ willingness to learn, serve their people, and support the various administrations in their respective local governments.
The council boss also charged the Deputy Leaders to carry out their legislative duties effectively, and reiterated his commitment to an inclusive administration that prioritizes the welfare of every resident.
Speaking earlier, Councilor Batife stated that the purpose of the visit was to strengthen collaboration, and address issues relating to grassroots governance, legislative partnership, and community development across the division.
He emphasized the importance of constructive engagement with the government, and assured that the forum will continue to offer necessary advice and support.
Members of the Deputy Leaders Forum present at the visit were the Deputy Leader, Ijede LCDA, Councilor Saka Nurudeen; Deputy Leader, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Councilor Solawon Hakeem; Deputy Leader, Imota LCDA, Councilor Olusegun Aberuagba; Deputy Leader, Ikorodu Local Government, Councilor (Mrs.) Fatuga Mutiat; and Deputy Leader, Ikorodu North LCDA, Councilor Idris Jimoh.
