In a bid to promote education and ease the financial burden on parents, a social group, Awadawa Crew, has provided 50 pupils across three primary schools in Igbogbo, with school bags.

The Back-to-School initiative, which was the group’s maiden edition, enabled the visitors to visit UAMC Eleja Primary School, Methodist Primary School, and Ansar – Ud- deen Primary School, Igbogbo, and presented the school bags.

Chairman of the group, Ogunsola Seyefunmi , speaking with THE IMPACT after the presentations, said that the gesture was part of the group’s initiatives to support the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Chairman in his quest to make education affordable and accessible for our children in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

He also added that the gesture is also to support parents and let the children know that they are not alone and that the community is behind them.

He assured that the initiative would be an annual event as their contributions to the development of the society since the government alone can’t do it all.

Other members of the group in attendance were Oduniyi Sherriff (Vice Chairman), Oduniyi Toheeb (Project Coordinator), Okeshola Hammed (Treasurer), and Okuneye Abiodun (Media/PRO).
