Asoro Cleared To Contest For NYCN Deputy National President

Comrade Abubakri Olatunji Asoro, ACArb, sole candidate for the Deputy National President, NYCN election

The sole aspirant for the Deputy National President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Abubakri Olatunji Asoro, ACArb, has been cleared to contest for the election of the umbrella body of Nigerian youths.

The result of the screening for the election, which is scheduled slated for 5th to 7th, October 2025 in Abuja, was released on Monday.

Speaking on the clearance, Asoro, who is currently Vice Chairman, NYCN Lagos East, thanked the Nigerian youths, and other stakeholders for the support that he has received so far.

He described his clearance as the sole candidate as a mandate given to him by the generality of the youths In the country.

“Dearest Nigerian Youths and Stakeholders,

“I just want to take this moment to acknowledge your prayers and support. Your endorsement from left to right is overwhelming, it has been a reassurance that we are not on this journey alone.

“Today, the electoral committee has released the screening result and I am glad to inform you that we have been cleared unopposed and as the sole candidate for the position of Deputy President.

“This is your mandate and thank you for the confidence reposed in us. I look forward to seeing your continued support till the last leg of the race.

“Thank you”.
