Prince Abiola Kosoko Congratulates Four Lagos White Cap Chiefs Over State Govt Recognition

Newly recognized chiefs: Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, the Ogboni Iduntafa of Lagos (Akarigbere Royal Class), Engr. Ajibade Ismail Nosiru Ayeni, the Eletu Odibo of Lagos (Head of Akarigbere Royal Class), Chief Adebola Olalekan Dosunmu, Olorogun Adodo of Lagos (Akarigbere Royal Class) and Chief Lookman Bolaji Oluwa, Onisemo of Lagos (Ogalade Class of Chiefs).

The Oloja – elect of Lagos, Prince Abiola Kosoko, has congratulated the four newly recognized white cap chiefs in Lagos Island, as Lagos State Government has officially approved their titles and gazetted them as paramount chiefs in the state.

Prince Kosoko said that the recognition accorded the four new chiefs: Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, the Ogboni Iduntafa of Lagos (Akarigbere Royal Class), Engr. Ajibade Ismail Nosiru Ayeni, the Eletu Odibo of Lagos (Head of Akarigbere Royal Class), Chief Adebola Olalekan Dosunmu, Olorogun Adodo of Lagos (Akarigbere Royal Class) and Chief Lookman Bolaji Oluwa, Onisemo of Lagos (Ogalade Class of Chiefs), will bring dawn of a new era to Lagos Island in particular and the entire state in general.

The Prince of Lagos, in a statement, said that the new recognized chiefs would bring their wealth of experiences to the continuous growth and development of Lagos tradition, while also acknowledging the leadership of His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa (Oba) Riliwan Babatunde Osuolale Aremu Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, for considering them worthy.

“I joined families in Lagos Island, friends and associates of the Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, the Ogboni Iduntafa of Lagos (Akarigbere Royal Class), Engr. Ajibade Ismail Nosiru Ayeni, the Eletu Odibo of Lagos (Head of Akarigbere Royal Class), Chief Adebola Olalekan Dosunmu, the Olorogun Adodo of Lagos (Akarigbere Royal Class) and Chief Lookman Bolaji Oluwa, the Onisemo of Lagos (Ogalade Class of Chiefs), who were recently recognised by the Lagos State Government as paramount chiefs.

“Their recognition is a good development for the traditional institution in the state, going by their positions, influence and wealth of experiences.

“I have no doubt that they will bring their wealth of experiences to the administration of the traditional institution of Lagos State, and assist the state government in promoting peace and unity, and also promoting our traditional and cultural values”.

The Oloja – elect also commended and congratulated the Oba of Lagos, Oba Akiolu, on the development .

“I also want to commend and appreciate His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, for the recognition accorded Lagos Island by the government after our revered royal father’s consent.

“May your reign be long to witness more of such recognition and unprecedented developments in Lagos Island.
