In continuation of her educational support initiatives, especially in the aspect of easing the burden on parents and supporting pupils’ academic needs, the Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), under the leadership of Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba, on Monday, distributed exercise books and uniforms to pupils in public primary schools across the council.

The initiative, tagged ‘Back to School Intervention’, aims to ensure that no child is denied access to quality education due to financial constraints, with pupils at the Anglican Nursery and Primary School, Anwar-Ul-Islam Primary School, Egbin Kingdom Primary School, Methodist Nursery and Primary School, Community Nursery and Primary School, and Igbe-Ogunro Nursery and Primary School in Ijede LCDA, benefitting from the laudable initiative.

Speaking during the presentation at one of the schools, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba encouraged pupils to remain focused on their studies, highlighting the importance of primary education as the foundation of every child’s development.

“My administration has a soft spot for education, which is why I ensured this intervention is an annual exercise to ease the burden on parents and give our children access to education. Beyond this, more classrooms are on the way”.

She charged parents on the need to continue to support their children, while also reassuring them that her administration would also continue to play its roles, because the kids are the future leaders of tomorrow
