The Executive of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, on Monday registered and distributed free General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to indigent students.
The distribution took place at the council secretariat.
According to Hon. Benson Ayodele, the initiative is aimed at supporting indigent students in achieving their educational pursuit.
The initiative aims to support their educational journey and fulfil part of his campaign promises to the people of Imota LCDA.

“This initiative is designed to assist not only the students but also families who may be struggling to afford the GCE forms. Hon. Benson expressed that this gesture represents hope, opportunity, and the goal of building tomorrow’s leaders today. “
While stating that improving educational standards in Imota LCDA is a key part of the administration’s “HI-SEE” Agenda, the Chairman also emphasised that beneficiaries of the free GCE forms were also registered online to ease the financial burden on their parents.
He said that through educational support, the council is nurturing and securing the future of Imota LCDA: “Consistently investing in our youth is essential for securing the future of Imota LCDA, nurturing greatness, and raising champions who will stand tall among their peers across Nigeria and beyond through academic excellence.”

“This is more than just an act of empowerment, it is a life-changing intervention that will have a lasting impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, their families, and our beloved community at large,” he added.
