The Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu, Alhaji Taiwo Abiodun Odumbo, has welcome pupils, teaching and non – teaching staff within his jurisdiction back to their various schools ad duty – posts.
The 2025/26 academic session began today in Lagos State after a month break at the end of the last session.
In a statement he personally signed, Odumbo advised pupils under his care on the need to be focused and intentional about learning and also called on the staff to be guided by the THEMES Plus Agenda of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu and to be more committed to its actualization.

“I warmly welcome all pupils, teaching and non-teaching staff as we resume today, 15 September 2025, to commence the 2025/2026 academic session. Wishing everyone a happy, safe and purpose-driven term.
“To our pupils, remain focused, determined and intentional about academic excellence. Let every lesson be an opportunity to grow, every challenge a chance to learn and relearn, and every success a step towards your dreams.
“To our teaching and non-teaching staff, be energised by regularity and punctuality. Serve as ambassadors of our Division’s values, prioritise productive learning outcomes and uphold the promise of leaving no child behind through care, support and innovation.

“Let us continue to be guided by Mr Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda.
“Together, we will build an inclusive, dynamic and high-achieving learning environment for every child in Ikorodu.”
