The Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) will ,on Tuesday, hold its second and the last ‘Oro’ for the year.
The announcement was made in a statement released today by the Executive Chairman, Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motuntayo Gbadebo -Alogba.
Womenfolk are enjoined to stay indoors from 11pm today (Monday) till 6am Wednesday morning when necessary traditional rites would have been concluded.
“Dear residents, this is to notify the general public and all residents of Ijede LCDA, about the 2025 edition of the Oro Eginrin Festival, scheduled to hold in Ijede Town on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
“In line with traditional practices and directives, female residents are kindly advised to remain indoors from 11:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8th, 2025, until 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, in the interest of peace, safety, and the successful celebration of the festival”.
