-Lays foundation for NSCDC Divisional office in Imota

The Imota Local Council Development Area, under the leadership of Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, has commended the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constitunecy, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson for his prompt intervention in the construction of a block of six classrooms at Methodist Primary School, Imota.
According to the council boss, the construction project represents a significant step forward for the community, aiming to enhance educational infrastructure and create better learning environments for the children in Imota and also to serve as a focal point for community development, fostering pride and investment in local education.
Hon. Benson, who was represented by the Vice-Chairman of the Council, Princess Bisoye Omowunmi Jimoh lauded Rep. Babajimi Benson’s exceptional leadership and commitment to the development of the entire Ikorodu Division. She expressed gratitude for his efforts in rehabilitating dilapidated buildings and constructing new classrooms to meet the evolving needs of students throughout Imota LCDA.

She highlighted that this initiative aims to increase the gross enrollment rate and provide more children with access to quality primary education in Imota.
“This construction demonstrates our Rep. Babajimi Benson’s broader efforts to enhance the quality of education in Imota through strategic interventions aimed at improving infrastructure in primary schools. He has continued to prioritise education and remains dedicated to providing essential infrastructure that promotes sound and quality education in the LCDA.
His focus on public school development reinforces our commitment to equipping students with the necessary tools to succeed in today’s world. Our children deserve to learn in a serene and conducive environment,” the Imota LCDA chairman noted.

The Imota council boss also praised the teachers for their dedication and positive impact on the pupils, while also assuring residents of effective service delivery at all times.
One of the teachers in the school, Mr. Mustapha commended both the Council Chairman and Rep. Babajimi Benson’s initiative adding that it will greatly benefit the pupils.
“The ongoing construction is a dream come true for this community, as our students will now have complete infrastructure that supports better learning,” he observed.

Meanwhile, the Imota LCDA chairman on Thursday, also laid the foundation for the construction of a divisional office for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), at Oriokuta in Imota.
During the foundation-laying ceremony, Hon. Benson expressed his admiration for the efforts made to initiate the construction of a befitting divisional office in Imota LCDA. He also assured the State Commandant of the NSCDC of his unwavering support and emphasised the significance of this project in enhancing the security architecture of Imota LCDA.
“This construction project, when completed, will improve the performance of the security operatives in the area. Together, we will strive to implement more impactful projects for the benefit of the people of Imota LCDA.”
