The helmsman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo -Alogba, has extended greetings to the Muslim faithful globally, but especially in her council area in Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.
Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba in a statement commemorating the celebration said that the day reminds Muslims of the exemplary virtues of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) – compassion, kindness and peace, and charged them to emulate such.
“I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Muslims in Ijede LCDA and across the world as we join in the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
“Eid-el-Maulud is a season of unity and gratitude, reminding us of the Prophet’s exemplary virtues, compassion, kindness, humility, and peace. It is a time to reflect deeply on his timeless teachings and to strive to embody his noble character in our daily lives.
“On this blessed occasion, I pray that Almighty Allah showers His blessings upon us and our families, and grants us the grace to witness many more peaceful and joyous celebrations of Maulud Nabiyy.”
