-Commends Rep. Benson over facilitations of blocks of classrooms

The Education Secretary (ES), Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu Local Government, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, continued his inspection tours to various primary schools under his jurisdiction last week with visits to the Salvation Army Primary School, Agunfoye and Ilado Community Primary School, Baiyeku, both in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The visitations were part of the ES’ efforts to enhance educational infrastructure and ensure readiness for the upcoming academic session.
During the visits, the Education Secretary assessed the construction of a block of six classrooms at Agunfoye, and commended the completion of similar facility which was furnished and fenced at Ilado Community Primary School. The projects were facilitated through the legislative interventions of Honourable Babajimi Adegoke Benson, the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency whose commitment to grassroots development continues to yield tangible results in the education sector.

At Ilado Community Primary School, Alhaji Odumbo convened a purposeful meeting with key stakeholders, including the Baale of the community, representatives of the Community Development Association (CDA), and the Parent Forum. The dialogue focused on the activation of teaching and learning activities at the newly completed school, with all parties expressing readiness and support for a successful take-off by September, marking the beginning of the next academic session.
The Education Secretary emphasized the importance of community ownership and collaboration in sustaining educational progress. He assured stakeholders of the LGEA’s commitment to bringing this to fruition.

To round off this tactical inspection and purposeful engagement, in the council, the Education Secretary paid a courtesy visit to High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom.
According to Alhaji Odumbo, “This proactive engagement signals a new chapter for Ilado Community Primary School, positioning it as a beacon of hope and opportunity for children in Baiyeku and surrounding communities”.
