The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II and Chairman, House Committee on Public-Private Partnership, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Aro Moshod Abiodun (AMA), has been conferred with an honourary doctorate.
The honour award which was presented to Hon. Aro during the 11th Leadership Summit and Induction Ceremony, was conferred by the Prowess University, Delaware, USA, in partnership with the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies (IAMPS) and the Ecolerite Institute of Peace Advancement.
According to the lawmaker’s Media Director/ Personal Assistant, Razaq Kabiru Babatunde, in a statement, the award, “is a testament to Hon. Dr. Aro Moshood Abiodun’s sterling performance as the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, his unflinching commitment to public service, and his outstanding contributions to governance, community development, and effective legislative engagement.”
He said that the university beyond academics, also attached importance to leadership, peace building and community development, key features and values which Hon. Aro have embraced over time and practised.
“The Prowess University Honorary Doctorate Degree is globally recognized as a symbol of honour, quality, and efficacy, celebrating individuals whose impact transcends academic qualification to embrace visionary leadership, peace building, innovation, and community transformation. It is conferred only upon distinguished personalities who embody the essence of service, excellence, and human capital advancement.
“Hon. Abiodun, fondly referred to as a grassroots leader and people’s legislator, has consistently demonstrated competence, accountability, and innovation in his legislative duties, while championing initiatives that strengthen partnerships between government and private stakeholders to drive sustainable development in Lagos State. His recognition places him among an elite group of leaders whose works continue to inspire future generations.
He described the lawmaker as a shining example to many in his constituency, state and the country as a whole.
“In his acceptance, the Ikorodu-born lawmaker was celebrated not only as a trailblazer in governance but also as a shining example of what it means to serve with passion, humility, and integrity.
