Ijede LCDA on 2025 Ajede Oro Festiva

The Office of the Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, has informed residents of Ijede and the general public that the Ijede community will be hosting its annual Ajede Oro Festival tomorrow.

The festival is slated to commence on the night of Friday, August 23 and ends in the morning of Sunday, August 24, 2025, while women have been charged to stay indoor while the festival lasted.

In a statement by the Chairman on Friday, she said that the festival is in line with the traditional practice of Ijede.

“This is to notify the general public and all residents of Ijede LCDA, about the 2025 edition of the Oro Ajede Festival scheduled to hold in Ijede Town on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

“In line with traditional practices and directives, female residents are kindly advised to remain indoors from 11p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, until 6a.m on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in the interest of peace, safety, and successful celebration of the festival”.

She congratulated and wish both indigenes and residents a successful Oro festival.
