A former Commissioner for Agriculture in Lagos State and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, has described the recent political developments around his former cabinet colleague and former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, as unnecessary.

Koali, who was also the former Vice Chairman, Lagos East Senatorial District APC, also faulted Aregbesola, who was also a former Interior Minister on the ground that he is challenging his benefactor who deployed every resource to make him who he is politically today.

The political leader expressed his disappointment when the former Chairman, Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Dr.) Adeola Banjo, and his team visited him at his Owode – Ibsehe home on a thank you mission.

“I can say it openly that Rauf Aregbesola is bringing unnecessary insult on himself. He is my colleague but it is wrong the way he’s going about his opposition to President Bola Tinubu. You don’t wine and dine with your principal and because of whatever reason, deny him in the way he’s going about it.

“You were brought out from nowhere; nothing and ground zero. All resources were made available for him as Commissioner in Lagos State and for his emergence as Governor in Osun.

“There is no matter what Tinubu must have done to him that warranted Aregbesola to go this extent. Tinubu was the angel sent to hm by God and Bible cautioned against making our angel angry or be contemptuous of the Holy Spirit. There is no forgiveness of sin for such a person that does that”, Kaoli said.

Speaking on his own meeting with Tinubu, the former Commissioner said that his life has never been the same since the meeting with the President through his late uncle and strong man of Ikorodu politics , Alhaji Muftau Ajisebutu.

“I was Mr Nobody when I met Tinubu. I was a regular teacher. In fact, I refused to answer my late uncle, Alhaji Mufutau Ajisebu, at first when he told me that he was taking me to him, but he insisted that I must go with him. In fact, since I have met him till date, it has been total turnaround.

“It is human beings that God will send to you and the prayer is that you will have a discerning spirit to see and accept whoever that God send to you. It is possible that you reject someone sent to uplift and change your condition for better, without you knowing,” Kaoli Olusanya added.

Asiwaju Kaoli commended Hon. Banjo for the initiative which he described as a rare one after office. He urged him to continue to make himself relevant politically and in community development, while adding tat he has what it takes to be given a higher political responsibility.

While stating that Rep. Babajimi Benson, representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, Senator representing Lagos East, are good representatives who are reliable and responsible, Asiwaju Kaoli said that the greatest thing to happen to Ikorodu is for the next governor of the state to come from the division.
