Hon. Motuntayo Gbadebo -Alogba, the Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has described the Isese Day as an avenue to showcase the richness of Yoruba Culture and timeless values.
Hon. Gbadebo -Alogba in a statement commemorating the 2025 Isese Day, also said that the day afforded people the opportunity to sustain their culture.
“I extend my warm felicitations to all traditional worshippers in Ijede LCDA on this year’s Isese Day.
“This annual celebration highlights the richness of our cultural heritage and the timeless values of the Yoruba people. As we honour our ancestors through sacred rites, we also reaffirm the importance of preserving these traditions for future generations.
She pledged her administration’s continuous support for the promotion of cultural heritage and by extension, peace and harmony among people.
She also called on residents of Ijede to continue to protect and preserve their culture.
“As a government, we recognise the unifying role of tradition in promoting peace, harmony, and identity within our community. It is our shared responsibility to sustain these legacies and pass them on to future generations.
“I call on all sons and daughters of Ijede to continue embracing and preserving our cultural heritage. I wish you all a joyous, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Isese Day.
