The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’oba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has congratulated the Alaiyeluwa, His Royal Majesty (Oba) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Emugoriade, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom
Aroyewun extended his congratulations to the traditional institution, indigenes and residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA in commemoration of Isese Day.
He said that the traditional institution is the custodian of the culture and heritage and commended them for the preservation.

“On this auspicious occasion of the annual Isese Day celebration, I extend my warmest felicitations to our esteemed traditional heads and revered royal fathers whose commitment to preserving the customs and traditions of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA is immeasurable and serve as a beacon of guidance for us all.
“This celebration is also a moment to specially recognise and applaud our devoted traditionalists and all custodians of our indigenous faiths.
“You are the guardians of the sacred flames of Isese, the interpreters of divine wisdom, and the healers of our land. Your dedication to upholding the practices and philosophies of our forebears ensures that this ancient knowledge is not lost to the passage of time. I celebrate your resilience and profound contributions to our cultural identity.”

While also stating that the Isese Day reminded the people of who they are, Aroyewun also said that the occasion afforded people to offer prayers for peace, unity and progress.
“This special celebration is a sacred reminder of who we are, where we come from, and the enduring strength we draw from our roots. This is a day for merriment, for community bonding, for offering prayers for peace and prosperity, and for renewing our commitment to the values of respect, unity, and harmony that Isese teaches us.

“I urge us all to move through the festivities with a sense of pride, ensuring our celebrations are peaceful, orderly, and respectful of all.
