As part of his agenda to empower youth in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, the Executive Chairman of the council, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has put in place a mentorship platform to assist them be actionable.
The initiative tagged, “Mentorship Session with HOA”, is in commemoration of the 2025 International Youth Day. The keynote address will be delivered by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende with inspiring speech from the Chairman, Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo.

The event themed, “Local Youth Actions for SDGs and Beyond,” is coming up on Saturday, August 16th, will be holding at the Secretariat Hall, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Igbogbo.
Omo’ba Aroyewun who said that it will be a transformational experience at the maiden edition, also added that, “the objective is to help our Youth drive their thoughts into action and ensure a society that is all about growth and impact.
“Some exceptional youth leaders are also ready to explore the topic as Panelists. I am really upbeat about this event as it promises to be enriching for us all,” he added.

While Comrade Lekan Bililamin Oba Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Social Development will be the panel moderator, panelists for the day are Owolabi Jamiu, Member, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LSUBEB), Comfort Olafare, Deputy Chairman, NYCN, Lagos State, Dr. Leke Dankuwo, Chairman, Igbogbo Youth Forum, Ashade Abdul Salam, CEO, Green Janitors and Adeleke Aroyewun Esq., NYCN Lagos Legal Officer
