The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) has joined numerous others globally to rejoice with the youth especially those in his council on the occasion of the International Youth Day.
He commended them for their impact in sustaining progress and development in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
Aroyewun felicitates youth in a statement commemorating the International Youth Day today.
“On this special occasion of International Youth Day, I join the global community in celebrating the Dynamic, Visionary and Vibrant Youth of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
“I have a profound admiration for the phenomenal role you play in driving sustainable development, innovation and progress within Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
He said that youth empowerment and development is part of his government’s GLORY Agenda.
The Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA chairman emphasised his administration would create a thriving community by empowering youths and creating opportunities and platforms for them to excel.
“The theme for this year’s celebration, Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond, resonates deeply with one of the most cardinal aspects of my administration’s GLORY Agenda, that is, Youth and Sports Development, which is anchored on empowering you to lead transformative change in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
“The call to localise SDGs aligns perfectly with our vision to create a thriving community where every person is equipped with tools, opportunities and platforms to turn global aspirations into tangible, community-driven realities.
“I recognise and admit that Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA has one of the most vibrant, innovative and relentless youth category globally. I take pride in your local actions, which serve as the heartbeat of sustainable development in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
“I am inspired by the theme of this year’s celebration to increase the energy exerted in amplifying voices, celebrating your innovations, and investing in your potential to drive more impactful solutions that resonate far beyond our borders.
“I, therefore, reaffirm my resolute commitment to Youth Development through our specially-designed initiatives as outlined in our GLORY Agenda that concentrates on quality education and mentorship (SDG 4), fostering decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), Innovation, Technology and Infrastructure (SDG 9),”
The council boss also stated that his main aim is to create a prosperous Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA where opportunities are limitless.
“Beyond the SDGs, the overreaching goal is to lead Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA into a future of limitless opportunities that outlasts the 2030 timeline.
“Once again, Happy International Youth Day 2025! Your infectious energy, insightful vision and formidable strength are the actual GLORY of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA,” he noted.
