The immediate past Tutor General/Permanent Secretary, Education District ll, Lagos State, Mrs Adekanye Anike, has felicitated the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty, Ọba Engr. Dr. Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, on the occasion of his 10th coronation anniversary.
The multiple – award winning retired TGPS, congratulating the royal father in a statement, said that Ayangbure has brought dignity to the royalty, and is committed to community and national development.
The week – long 10th coronation anniversary of Oba Shotobi, which started Saturday, August 2, and climaxed with the grand finale on Saturday, August 9, ends today with a special thanksgiving service at the Patriarch Bolaji Methodist Cathedral Church, Ikorodu, and also the concluding part of the anniversary raffle draw.
“With joy and a heart overflowing with gratitude, I join the people of Ikorodu Kingdom, Lagos State, and indeed well-wishers across the nation and beyond to celebrate a truly remarkable leader, His Royal Majesty, Ọba Engr. Dr. Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, on the auspicious occasion of his 10th Coronation Anniversary.
“Your Majesty, your reign over the past decade has been marked by wisdom, dignity, cultural revival, and steadfast commitment to both community and national development. You have brought renewed visibility and relevance to the traditional institution in Ikorodu, and through your visionary leadership, our cherished kingdom has remained a beacon of peace, heritage and unity”.
She appreciated the support given to her by Ayangbure during her service as the TGPS Education District II.
She also commended Olori Shotobi whom she described as a mother figure for her roles in her husband’s successful reign.
“As the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District 2, under whose purview Ikorodu falls, I had the honour and privilege of experiencing your fatherly support in very personal and profound ways.
“You received me warmly, stood by our programmes, and consistently lent your royal presence and moral backing to initiatives that sought to uplift the standard of education and empower our children. Your commitment to educational excellence and youth development has inspired educators, students, and administrators alike.
“I am especially grateful to your dear wife, Olori Kudirat Abosede Shotobi, a queen of grace and purpose, whose quiet strength and visible support played a vital role in our journey.
” Olori, you have stood as a mother to our students, a promoter of noble values, and a dignified supporter of every effort to advance learning and cultural pride.
“Your partnership with His Majesty has enriched the throne and endeared you to many of us who served in Education District 2.
“Your Majesties, it is not often that one encounters such harmony of tradition, progress, and heartfelt humanity. I count it a great blessing that our paths crossed in purpose, and I remain eternally grateful for the honour of your support till my retirement.
“As you celebrate this milestone of ten impactful years on the throne, I pray that Almighty Allah will continue to preserve you in health, wisdom, and divine favour. May your legacy endure through generations, and may Ikorodu Kingdom continue to rise under your watchful care.
