Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, the Governor of Ogun State, has joined other eminent Nigerians in congratulating, His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorusen V, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, on the celebration of a decade of enthronement on the stool of his ancestors.
In a statement signed by the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun said that the reign of Oba Shotobi in the last 10 years has been remarkable.
“On behalf of the government and the good people of Ogun State, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to your royal majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorusen V, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, on the joyful occasion of your 10th year coronation anniversary, scheduled to hold between 2nd and 10th of August, 2025.
“This milestone marks a decade of purposeful and visionary leadership, a period that has witnessed remarkable progress in Ikorodu Kingdom under your distinguished reign. Your Majesty has not only sustained the dignity and tradition of the throne, but has also redefined royal service through inclusive engagement and a deep commitment to the welfare of your people.”
The Ogun governor commended the Ayangbure on the documentation of activities during the first 10 years into a book and launch of a foundation to support the community.
“The presentation of your book titled “Ilufemiloba: The Royal Strides of a Classy Monarch” is a timely chronicle of your impactful journey, thus far. It is a literary monument that will enrich the historical and cultural consciousness of both present and future generations.
“Equally commendable is the formal inauguration of the Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi Royal Foundation, a laudable initiative geared towards people – driven socio – economic emancipation. This bold step reinforces your enduring legacy of service and compassion, as well as your unwavering resolve to empower communities through education, health and youth development.
“As we mark this significant occasion, I join your esteemed royal family, the sons and daughters of Ikorodu Kingdom, and other well-wishers in giving thanks to Almighty GOD for His abundant grace and mercy over your life. May the Good LORD continue to bless you with good health, wisdom, and strength to lead with distinction for the betterment and progress of your people.
