In a continued effort to promote human capital development, the leadership of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in partnership with the Lagos State Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), hosted a one-day capacity building programme focused on Women’s Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship.
The event held at the weekend at the council secretariat brought together women from across the LCDA for a day of interactive sessions, and exhibitions, from notable institutions such as Cowrywise, Opay, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA), and Ilera Eko.

These partners offered participants vital information on digital savings, investment education, identity registration, health insurance, and other financial tools essential for a sustainable future.
The Council Chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, welcomed attendees and reiterated her administration commitment to women’s empowerment through strategic grassroots focused programmes.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman, Hon. Femi Kabir also encouraged participants to take full advantage of these opportunities and remain dedicated to developing their skills.
