The Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, has felicitated the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, HRM (Oba) Dr. Kabir Adewale Shotobi, on his 10th coronation anniversary as the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom .
The Governor’s aide described the highly revered monarch as a symbol of peace, harmony and development.
In a statement congratulating the monarch, Dr Agbaje said that the Ayangbure, in his 10 years reign, has solidified the relationship between the government and his people, which has attracted developments.

“I join the proud sons and daughters of Ikorodu, both at home and abroad, in honouring our highly esteemed monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Engr. Dr. Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, GCIO, Ayangbure of Ikorodu, as he marks his remarkable 10th Coronation Anniversary.
“In these ten glorious years, Your Majesty has served as a shining symbol of peace, harmony, and development in our kingdom.
“Your reign has strengthened the relationship between the traditional institution and government authorities, while driving impactful initiatives in rural electrification, road infrastructure, educational advancement, cultural heritage preservation, and community security, notably through the establishment of the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited (IDPIL)”, Dr Agbaje said.

The Special Adviser also acknowledged the monarch’s infusion of modernism into the cultural heritage and wished him a long reign.
“Your visionary leadership blends the wisdom of our cherished traditions with the dynamism of modern governance, setting a standard for purposeful rulership.
“As we celebrate this milestone, I pray for divine guidance, continued good health, and unyielding strength for you, Kabiyesi. May your reign bring even greater peace, prosperity, and progress to the good people of Ikorodu.
“Congratulations, once again, Kabiyesi!”.
