The final day of the ITTF Africa Youth Championships, has promised to be a very tough and interesting ending as the defending champion Wassim Essid of Tunisia faces Nigeria’s Abdulbasit Abdulfatai in the semifinals and another Nigerian, who is the current West African champion, Matthew Kuti, battles Egypt’s Badr Mostafa for the final match.

The defending champion, Wassim Essid of Tunisia is so far undefeated, but he will have to deal with a very tough challenger in Nigeria’s Abdulfatai.

2025 ITTF Africa Youth Championships will come to an end today after seven days of thrilling engagements at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Nigeria has dominated especially in the team events winning two of the four gold medals available.
