The newly sworn – in Chairmen of Ijede and Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDAs), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba and Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele respectively, have pledged renewed commitment to developments in their respective council areas.
The duo were among the new chairmen of the 57 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and LCDAs that were sworn – in on Sunday, by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, at the inauguration event held at the Sports Ground, Lagos House, Ikeja.

While Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba is returning for the second term, Hon. Benson served in the immediate past administration as Vice Chairman, for eight years before he was elected at the July 12 local government elections on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Ijede council boss, while describing her re – emergence as a new beginning, she also pledged to serve with honour and integrity.
“It was with great honour and humility that I was officially sworn in today as the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, for a second term. I pledge to serve the good people of Ijede with renewed purpose, integrity, and unwavering dedication.

“This historic moment signifies not just a continuation, but our administration’s renewed commitment to the growth and sustainable development of Ijede LCDA. We are fully prepared to deliver more impactful policies and projects to ensure good governance for our people”,she said.
She called for support from all and sundry in achieving a greater Ijede LCDA.
“With your support, we will build the Ijede LCDA of our collective dreams. We are committed to being a government that leads with transparency, inclusivity and vision, working tirelessly for a greater Ijede LCDA.

“Together, we will do more.”
Hon. Benson Ayodele, in his own statement after his inauguration as the Executive Chairman, Imota LCDA, also pledged to serve with purpose and integrity.
“Today was a historic day as I was officially sworn in and took the Oaths of Office and allegiance before God and thousands of people, committing to serve the people of Imota Local Council Development Area with purpose, integrity, and dedication.

“This moment marked a renewed commitment from this administration to the development of Imota LCDA, as the community expects new reforms and true governance at the grassroots level”.
He also said that he looks forward to support from stakeholders.
“I look forward to collaborating with all and sundry for the next four years, while we work together to achieve the Imota LCDA of our dreams. We promise to be a team that works only”.
