The palace was constructed by the authority of the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA under the administration of the outgoing Chairman, Builder Sesan Daini.

The palace is arguably the first to be constructed by any local government authority in Lagos State.

The foundation of the royal structure was laid in March this year, and ready for commissioning five months after.

His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo who is the Chief Host, will welcome many traditional rulers and chiefs as well as government functionaries and other invited dignitaries, to the ancient community for the historic event.

According to the chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, at the foundation laying ceremony, the palace will not only have a spacious and modern palace for the day – to -day activities of the kingdom’s administration by the Adeboruwa and his council, but also an office and archives room that will document traditional and cultural values of the people of Igbogbo.

Finishing touches in terms of exterior and interior designs were being carried out when our reporter inspected the new palace late Friday night.

The Adeboruwa side of the ongoing road construction by the HiTech construction company has also been made mottorable in preparation for the commissioning.

The imposing palace is one of the signature and landmark achievements of eight years administration of Builder Sesan Daini as the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA.
