The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Youth and Socials, Comrade Olalekan Biliamin Oba, and the outgoing Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Builder Sesan Daini are among resource persons scheduled to mentor Students at the maiden Prince Damola Tosin Ogunlaja Annual Leadership Lecture on Wednesday.
The public engagement is themed, “Empowering the Future: Navigating Admission to Graduation with Purpose”, and holds at the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Wednesday, July 18, 2025.

Other resource persons that will mentor students are the Dean Students’ Affairs, Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, who will discuss the theme of the lecture and Barr. Gbemileke Bakare, a legal practitioner and former President, Students’ Union Government (SUG), LASU, who is scheduled to speak on the topic: “Activism, Unionism and Personal Empowerment: A Path To Growth”
According to Prince Ademola Ogunlewe, the Convener of the community engagement with undergraduates in Igbogbo and beyond, the SSA to the Governor, Comrade Oba will be speaking to the youths on the sub – theme, “Developing the Ideal Next Generation Youth with Modern Skills and Knowledge” while the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA boss, Builder Sesan Daini will do justice to the topic: “Tertiary Education: Leveraging Opportunities for Personal & Career Growth”.

He added that the initiative is part of the foundation’s intervention in students and youth developing, aimed at building capacity of the youth for future relevance and to make them competitive in the global village.
The Damola Tosin Ogunlaja Foundation is organizing the lecture in conjunction with the Igbogbo Youth Forum (IYF).
