The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Local Government, Comrade Kehinde Okeowo, Jp., has felicitated the elected Council Chairmen and Councillors on the ruling party’s platform across Ikorodu Division.
Comrade Okeowo, who is the head, women’s directorate of the Prince Adedayo Ladega Campaign Organisation, in a statement said that she has no doubt that the elected chairmen riding on their popularity and support from stakeholders across the division will deliver on their campaign promises.
Recall that the six Chairmanship candidates – Prince Adedayo Ladega Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, Hon. Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile, Ikorodu North LCDA, Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, Ijede LCDA and Hon. Sunday Benson, Imota LCDA, emerged winners of the Saturday’s Local Government elections and were declared by Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission’s Returning Officers.
30 Councillorship candidates that were also fielded in the six councils also emerged winners.
“With heart filled with joy and fulfilment, I extend my felicitations to the six Chairmen – elect on the platform of our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC) on their landslide victory at the polls on Saturday. The outstanding and remarkable outing was another pointer that our party is loved and appreciated by all.
“As the flag bearers of our party, your elections and re – elections for some that are returning for the second term is a testament to your character and will to deliver, which the electorate and people have seen in the past months and which they accepted and reflected in your unprecedented electoral victories.
“Once again, I offer my warmest congratulations to you all especially my own Chairman – elect, Ikorodu LG, Prince Adedayo Ladega and the only female Chairman – elect, who is returning for the second term in Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba,” Comrade Okeowo exhilarated.
She expressed her belief that the new council administrators would deliver on their campaign promises and programmes of the APC, while also congratulating the councilors – elect.
“As you are being elected, I have no doubt that you will deliver on your promises, the more so, with the massive support that you have. It is now time to roll up your sleeves and key into the THEMES Plus agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu and more importantly, the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu, in developing Ikorodu and impact positively.
“To our dear Councillors – elect, I extend my congratulations to you too as you prepare to assume office and make laws to provide for good governance and support the council executives.
“I wish you all the best and charge you to go and make our party, APC proud.
