The officials of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), have begun the collation of election results held across the seven wards within the Ikorodu (Central) Local Government.
The collation is going on at the Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat.
The council elections held today, were contested mainly by three parties – All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
While returning officers from six wards are already in the council’ secretariat hall, the electoral officer announced a few minutes ago that those assigned to Ward G (Agura/Gberigbe) were being expected with their results.
The electoral officer has also recognized Alhaji Afinni Lateef, the Secretary to the Ikorodu Local Government, as the LG agent for the APC and Mr Kaminu Owoyele as agent for the PDP. Whereas, no one has been announced as representative of the LP.
Also at the centre are leaders and members of APC and PDP. Also various security agencies including the police, civil defense and others.
