-Says his administration would focus on service delivery
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the forthcoming primary elections in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has honoured the residents of the council for their support in his emergence as the candidate of his party in the forthcoming Local Government elections.
In particular, he thanked residents in various communities that made up the council, and specially acknowledged his co aspirants and various groups for their support and acceptance.
“I sincerely appreciate the support of the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA for me as an aspirant and now as the APC candidate for the Chairmanship seat of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
“From Igbogbo to Ibeshe, Ẹlẹ́pẹ̀, Baiyeku, Oreta, Offin-Ile, Olú-Odò, Agunfoye, Olubi, Olumo, Igbe, Laara, Lajo, Abulesorun, Ilemere and other communities, your support is massive, and we greatly appreciate the groundswell of encouragement received from you.”
The victorious APC chairmanship primary election candidate further charged,
“I appreciate all my co-aspirants who are all exceptional sister and brothers. I appeal for your support all the way. Let’s come together to serve – our LCDA needs all of us, please.
“I give kudos to all social groups, youth groups and community associations for their support and peaceful conduct always. Please let’s continue to be good residents and neighbours to one another.”
While saluting members of his team – Ona Ogo ’25, whom he said will be celebrated better soon, Aoyewun, also acknowledged the exceptional roles of the party – APC in his emergemce.
“My Ọ̀nà Ògo’25 media and strategic teams always say to me “don’t thank us, we are together” anytime I appreciated them in passing. Now, I can’t but thank them wholeheartedly because of their perseverance and understanding. Names will be mentioned in due course; for now, I salute you all.
“My party members rock always. Everyone with no exception! Whatever sides we belong, we are one, we will be one always I assure you. I appreciate all women groups, all youth groups and all other groups of our dear party, APC, in IBLCDA for their strive in ensuring the success of our party always.
“I also thank my big family. You are a great backbone to me and you inspire me a lot. I thank all friends and associates.”
Aroyewun said that his administration, if elected and fully come on board, would focus primarily on service delivery to the populace:
“Let me reiterate that if elected as the chairman in the main election in July 2025, we will leverage our collective social, economic, and plotical standing to improve our LCDA. We will capitalise on our collective passion, proficiency and piety to deliver total quality service. We will fully dedicate ourselves to service.
“We are all one and we will do well for one another without segregation. We will spare no effort, no partnership, and no resources to build an IBLCDA society where as many as possible thrive in all their chosen endeavours.
“Rest assured that we will be gracious and collaborative. If elected in the main election in July, we will cherish and consolidate all existing accomplishments and make visible improvements on all aspects of public governance in IBLCDA.”
The APC Candidate cautioned supporters on the need to celebrate mildly and respect the feelings of others.
“To our dear supporters, let our celebration be mild. Let’s not rile anyone up. Lets avoid gloating because we respect all. To run a society as ours, we need to embrace one another and not be vindictive. Please maintain decorum always,” he pleaded.
