Comrade Mirinda Onamade, brother to murdered Managing Director of Western Funeral Homes, Tosin Onamade, has said that the death of his brother has left his family stressed, worried and also put them under the fear of attack.
Onamade, 47, and former aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat and Ijede LCDA Chairmanship position, was killed about two weeks ago by unknown gunmen who we gathered lured him out of his new mansion at Gbodu to the old house where he was attacked with objects and shot severally.
He left behind a wife and five children.

The State Criminal Investigation Bureau, SCIB, Panti has taken over the investigation to unravel his gruesome murder.
Mirinda, who spoke with our reporter on Sunday, also said that the family is working towards ensuring that his remains are released by the police in time for proper traditional burial because he is Asiwaju Eleluku of Oke Eletu.
“In fact, this can be explained because it is causing us stress, worry, panic and fear of attacking,” he lamented when narrating the family feelings a week after Onamade’s death.

“To be honest, there is nothing that the family can do than relying on Panti Police (State Criminal Investigation Bureau, SCIB). However, the family said it should be buried in time because he is Eleku chieftain – Asiwaju Eleluku Oke Eletu, Ikorodu, Lagos.
“No suspects have been identified yet, the police is promising deep investigation into the matter.”
Recalling his brother’s death, Mirinda said that he received a call on the fateful day that his brother (Onamade) had been attacked and he had to turn back his car and on getting to the scene, he said that he saw his car but could not locate him:

“On getting there, I saw his car but couldn’t locate him and I started calling his number but he wasn’t picking his call and I called his Personal Assistant that called me about the attack on him to inform him about that.
“After moving around for a while, I saw some shoes and I also moved further, and I saw his remains beside two cars parked close to his house. That was where they murdered him.
“Nobody can really say who did it. At first, I did not touch his body and I had to call people and they started shouting. Later, a man came out from a house where the cars were parked and told us that he saw those guys that killed him but could not recognize them.

“He narrated how they shot several times and were dragging him. He also gave me his phone. That is all that I can say. He said that it was dark and he was unable to recognize them and that he had to run away when they started shooting.
“We don’t have any idea of any suspect and that’s all that I know,” he said.
Mirinda also informed our reporter that Onamade’s leader in The Mandate Movement (TMM) and a chieftain of the All Progressives Party in Ijede LCDA, Hon. Ajala visited to commiserate with the family when the unfortunate incident occurred.
He also added that a delegation of the Ijede LCDA and APC Ijede LGA also visited on Sunday.
