The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has joined hands in calling for accelerated actions in breaking down barriers confronting women and create opportunities for them.
The three -term lawmaker, who gave the charge in a statement commemorating the 2025 International Women’s Day, also pledged his further commitments to the advancement and empowerment of women in Ikorodu.

“As your representative, I am deeply committed to championing policies and initiatives that promote women’s rights, education, economic empowerment and access to healthcare.
“Together, we must accelerate actions to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes and create opportunities for women to lead and excel in all spheres of life.
“To the incredible women of Ikorodu and beyond, you are the backbone of our societies and your contributions are immeasurable.
“I remain committed to advancing policies and initiatives that empower you, because when women succeed, our communities and nation prosper.
