A leading Chairmanship aspirant for Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has saluted women globally, especially those in his constituency, on the occasion of this year’s lnternational Women’s Day.
Aroyewun congratulated them in a statement he personally signed in commemoration of the annual celebration.
He described women, mothers, sisters and daughters, globally, as brilliant, bold, and beautiful.
“Today, March 8, 2025, we join the world to celebrate International Women’s Day—a day to honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of women in every sphere of life. A set of human beings worthy to be described as brilliant, bold, and beautiful.

“I salute the incredible women in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA who are the backbone of our families, the nurturers of our future, and the drivers of progress in our society.
“In Nigeria, women have always been at the heart of our growth—from the marketplaces where they trade with wisdom, to the corporate and political spaces where they lead with unbridled compassion, to the homes where they raise leaders, and the farms where they feed our nation. They provide invaluable stability. Yet, we know there is more to do to ensure every woman has the opportunity to thrive”.

He said that he would prioritize initiatives that empower and support women towards attainment of their goals.
“As I seek to serve you, I pledge to prioritize initiatives that empower women through access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and a safe environment to pursue their dreams.
“On this special day, I reaffirm my commitment to building a community where every woman’s voice is heard, her potential unleashed, and her rights protected.

“Together, we can create a future where our daughters inherit a community that values, protects, and uplifts them.
“Happy International Women’s Day to every woman in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and beyond. You are our pride, and our inspiration”, Aroyewun said.
