A leading Aspirant for the Chairmanship position of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) has called on residents of the council to support each other during the fasting period.
In a chat online with THE IMPACT, Aroyewun who pledged to administer the council with compassion and kindness, prayed for the renewal of spirit towards collective action in developing Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
HOA exhorted in the comprehensive message, “As we begin Lent, I greet the resilient people of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area. May this period of fasting, prayer, and charity renew our spirits and collective action.

“As a chairmanship aspirant, I pledge to serve with compassion, empathy, and kindness. Let’s strive to make a positive impact and be a blessing to others.
“Wishing you a blessed and prosperous Lent.”
He reminded residents of the need to prepare for their civic responsibility anytime that they are called upon to register either as members of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) on which platform he is aspiring or to validate their voters’ registration.

“Identifying with our great party as stakeholders and registering for or updating your voters’ card anytime that you are called upon are part of means of discharging our civic responsibility and working towards the renewal of our hope and aspiration.
“Let us hearken to the call so as to be empowered to make the difference. This is our duty for a better tomorrow,” he charged.
