The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson has extended his warmest congratulations to the new Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Mr Shamsideen Batunde Ogunjimi.
His appointment in substantive capacity was confirmed by President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday.
Ogunjimi was first appointed as the AGF in December 2024 before it was recalled by the Presidents.
Rep. Benson in a statement he personally signed said that the appointee’s exceptional qualities made him deserving of his new role.
“It is with great joy and pride that we celebrate the appointment of Mr. Shamseldeen Babatunde Ogunjimi as the substantive Accountant General of the Federation (AGF)
“This well-deserved recognition is a testament to your exceptional leadership qualities, wealth of experience, and unwavering dedication to public service,” he said.
He charged him to use his new position of responsibility in supporting the President in achieving his Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at repositioning the country.
“As you assume this critical role, we urge you to continue steering the affairs of Nigeria’s treasury with integrity, transparency, and innovation, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a congratulatory message by the KOLUJO Team of Comrade Japheth Odesanya, a chairmanship aspirant for Ikorodu Local Government, the new AGF was described as committed, and diligent in his service to his community and nation.
