A grassroot mobiliser and community developer, Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has congratulated the Adeboruwa and the entire people of the ancient Igbogbo Kingdom, on the success of this year’s celebration of the annual Igbogbo Day.
This year’s celebration, which was the 36th edition of the celebration was concluded on Saturday, November 30, with fanfare at the Zumratul Islammiyyah Grammar School, Igbogbo.
The celebration was themed, ‘Tiwa N Tiwa’.
While urging the residents of Igbogbo, to celebrate the achievements made by the community, Aroyewun also charged them to let the occasion propel them towards greater heights.
His congratulatory statement is reproduced below:
“On the auspicious occasion of the 36th Igbogbo Day Celebration themed, ‘Tiwa Ń Tiwa’ , I extend my congratulations to all sons, daughters, residents, friends and well wishers of our scenic Igbogbo kingdom. Igbogbo Day 2024 was an iconic celebration that delivers elegant moments of pride that we all cherish dearly.
“We deserve to revel in the moments as we celebrate the achievements of one another. With the delivery of the events, we should now be more driven towards achieving individual and collective prosperity.
“As we demonstrate collective selflessness, we are more enabled to take actions that prioritize our well-being and sustainably deliver public goods. Generally, we should be profoundly proud of ourselves even as we explore further avenues of progress. I trust that our passion for advancement and spirit of inclusivity will yield inestimable success.
“I felicitate His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, on this remarkable event. Our royal father’s steadfast commitment to the cultural, social, and economic development of Igbogbo, is inspiring. Under his visionary leadership, Igbogbo kingdom is experiencing remarkable progress and his actions and reach are strengthening our kingdom’s reputation as a beacon of historical tradition and social creativity.
“I am confident that Alayeluwa’s ability to inspire collective effort will leave indelible marks on the lives of the people. As we celebrate this milestone, I commend Alayeluwa’s immense contributions to the peace and prosperity of Igbogbo Kingdom. I wish and pray that His Royal Majesty’s reign will continue to be divinely blessed.
“I am particularly elated for the landmark achievement of the foundation laying of the Igbogbo Civic Centre. This, to me, is the highpoint of the entire celebration.
” Kudos to all who played several thankless roles in the accomplishment. There is more work to be done; evidence shows that we will all do it.
