Residents and traditionalists in colourful procession on Saturday
The annual Ikorodu-Oga Celebration kicked-off with the traditional ‘woro’ procession on the streets of Ikorodu on Saturday, November 10, 2018’
The procession which was led by the Chairman of the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Otunba Ganiyu Abiruwent round major streets and terminated at the Ayangbure palace where different groups and associations took their turns to pay homage to the traditional ruler of Ikorodu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabiru Adewale Shotobi
As usual, the opening also witnessed cultural displays
The colourful ‘Aso Ebi’ (social fabric) wore by thousands of residents and carnival costumes for designated others added colour and glamour to the procession
