COVID 19: Lagos Confirms Third Case

Lagos has recorded a new case of the Coronavirus disease, popularly known as COVID-19, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to three. According to the State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, the third confirmed case is a 30-year old Nigerian who returned from the United Kingdom on 13th of March via British Airways flight BA 075, having spent 10 days in the United Kingdom and had been on self-isolation before developing fever and high cough. The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has approved the postponement of the National Sports Festival, tagged Edo 2020. The Minister of Sports, Mr Sunday Dare, announced this at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, after a meeting with Buhari. He said the postponement was due to the Coronavirus pandemic, adding the decision was arrived at after “close consultations with the Ministry of Health”. 10 Ikorodu Swimmers To Represent Lagos At Edo 2020

Kunle Adelabu Ten out of the thirteen swimmers from Ikorodu that were invited  to the pre-Edo 2020 festival camp have qualified to represent Lagos State in the swimming event.
