Coronavirus Cases in Nigeria Exceed 20, 000

The total number of COVID – 19 cases in Nigeria on Sunday night risen to 20,244 as National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 436 new infections.

According to the NCDC, the 436 new confirmed cases were from 19 states.

Lagos recorded the highest number cases with 169 new infections in the state. A total of 8,576 cases so far reported in Lagos which is the epicenter of the pandemic in the country..

52 cases were detected in Oyo , 31 in Plateau , 29 in Imo , 28 in Kaduna 23 in ogun and 18 in FCT .

It was also reported that there has been 6,879 victims discharged so far, while, 518 deaths recorded nationally since the outbreak of the disease in the country.
