Lagos APC Has Lost Loyal Party Man, Grassroots Mobiliser With Sen. Osinowo’s Death – Otunba Abiru

The Chairman, Ikorodu Oga Develooment Association (IKODASS), Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, popularly called ‘GOA’ has joined well-meaning Nigerians and indeed Lagosians to mourn the sudden demise of Senator Bayo Oshinowo, otherwise known as ‘’Pepperito, whose sudden death occurred on Monday at a Lagos Hospital.

Abiru who aspired for the Lagos East Senatorial seat in 2019, expressed shock and sadness at the untimely death of the Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the Senate.

In a release sent to THE IMPACT, he described Osinowo’spassage as a monumental loss to Lagos APC and the entire progressive party as a whole.

‘Pepper was a great politician of no mean feat. He would be missed by the progressive family as an undiluted party loyalist and grassroots mobiliser who contributed immensely to the enthronement of progressive politics in Lagos State’, he said.

‘That his death came barely few days after the celebration of June 12 as Nigeria’s Democracy Day will remain one of his great achievements as a hero of the current democratic dispensation, a struggle he lived and died for’, Abiru added.

Abiru, who contested the Lagos East Senatorial District ticket alongside Senator Oshinowo but had to withdraw from the race in honour of party’s decision for Pepper’s candidacy also described the late Senator as a great friend, with whom he had a very good working relationship with as Clerk of the Lagos State House of Assembly for five good years.

Abiru concluded by praying for the repose of the soul of the late Lagos Senator while asking God to grant his immediate family members and the entire Lagos APC the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“May Allah overlook his shortcomings and grant him Aljanat Fridaus. I also pray that Allah will grant his family  particularly his immediate family members the fortitude to bear the irreparable and painful loss.” Otunba Abiru said.
