COVID-19: One New Case Discovered In Igbogbo?

Kunle Adelabu

A new case of COVID – 19 may have been discovered today at Selewu in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.

Though, the suspected case has not been confirmed by the Lagos State Government and Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as at the time of filing this report.

Some officials of the council and residents called to confirm the case to THE IMPACT.

However, when our reporter placed phone calls to the Chairman of council, Builder Sesan Daini, and the Medical Officer of the council for clarifications, they both said that they cannot discuss anything with the press.

Attempts to also reach the media aides to the Governor also proved abortive as none of them pick our reporter’s phone calls or respond to the text messages sent to their mobile phones.

A total of 238 cases have so far been discovered in Nigeria with Lagos leading with 120 cases out of which 33 have been discharged as at today.
