It was a relief for residents of Igbogbo and other road users of Ipakodo-Igbogbo road as Hi-Tech Construction Company handling the rehabilitation of the road, moved back to site to do a palliative work on the bad portions of the road.

The bad portions have become nightmare for road users since the construction company stopped work on the road about a year ago.

Surroundings of the premises of the company’s office along the axis which has been covered with weeds have also been cleared.

The damaged part of the road which is where the construction company has its office and Odofin road junction have been causing untold hardship for both the residents and road users.

The road is characterized with ceaseless traffic bottlenecks on daily basis , both in the morning and night.

In a bid to give free passage to flood which has made the road impassable, drains on both sides of the road have been properly channeled and while the bad portions have been filled.

THE IMPACT gathered that Hi-Tech Construction Company would soon be back on site fully.

A staff member of the company , who was on ground during the palliative work , spoke in confidence with our reporter. The same palliative work was done on Agric-Ishawo road about a month a ago by the construction giant.

While marking his 100 days in office recently, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu assured residents of Ikorodu Division that contractor handling the the 7km- Agric-Ishawo-Konu-Asolo-road project and Ipakodo-Igbogbo-Ijede road would be mobilized back to sites soon.
