The duo of Alhaji Monzor Olowosago, the Publisher of the leading community paper, and Sheikh Abdullahi Olorunjebe, a renowned Islamic scholar, have been declared patrons of the Pilgrims in Lagos State.

The announcement was made today in Saudi Arabia where the Lagos Pilgrims are joining millions of others globally to observe the annual hajj programme.

Alhaji Olowosago and Olorunjebe have performed hajj pilgrimage 23rd and 54th times this year according to our sources in Saudi Arabia.

Sheikh Olorunjebe, is the father of the former Special Adviser on Islamic Affairs during Fashola’s regime, Alhaji Olorunjebe.

Alhaji Jimoh Azeez Olosugbo, the former Council Leader, Ikorodu Local Government and political adviser to the Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly speaking with THE IMPACT stated that the duo of Alhaji Olorunjebe and Alhaji Olowosago truly deserve the honour because of their consistency in embarking on the pilgrimage to Mecca.

He added that they have contributed immensely to the growth of Islam in Lagos State
