2019 Lagos Governorship Election : We’ll Rebuild Lagos In 18 months – Gbadamosi, ADP Guber Candidate

The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Party (ADP), Mr Babatunde Oloyede Gbadamosi, has stated that his government would rebuild Lagos State if elected at the Governorship poll slated for Saturday, March 9, 2019.

Gbadamosi made this pledge during the flag – off of his campaign at the open ground of Ikorodu Town hall, on Monday, March 4, 2019.

Present at the event were the State Chairman of the party, Barr. Bolaji Adewale, State State Vice Chairman, Lagos Central, Alhaji Oyenade, State Secretary and candidate for Ikorodu Constituency I Assembly seat, Mr Bolaji Osinowo, State Publicity Secretary, Prince Adelaja, State Welfare Officer, Mrs Ayo Boriola, Woman Leader, Alhaja Atobajeun Dosunmu and the Organizing Secretary, Prince Babatunde Akins emote, among others.

Addressing party members and other supporters, Mr Gbadamosi stated that the state will be rebuilt within 18 months of his administration if elected.

“We will rebuild Lagos State within 18 months if elected as governor ”, the ADP guber candidate stated.

He charged the people to be ready to make sacrifice in the next few days to the election in order to get good governance.

“We are gradually approaching where we are going to and we would get there for our children and our future.

“All of us that are here today represent the hopes of aspiration of all Lagosians and by extension, Nigerians.

”Different sections of the society are represented here – the police, DSS, tailors, Carpenters, students and many others.”

He challenged electorate to brace up to speak with their votes.

“There is a very serious work in front of us to secure the future that we want and change the narrative. We have not fare better in the last 20 years of their government. It is enough. Enough is enough of god father that does not mean well.”

Gbadamosi, who claimed that the condition of the civil servants in the state is worrisome, stated that his first task when elected would be to increase their salaries.

“The first mission of our government when we eventually get into office is to increase the minimum wage for the government workers”, he pledged.

He admitted that he cannot do it alone and therefore, challenged the people to support him for good governance.

“It is time for freedom but ADP cannot do it alone because challenges confronting Lagos are enormous.”

The guber candidate also hinted about a coalition with PDP and other opposition parties.

The State Chairman of the party, Barr. Bolaji Adewale, while speaking at the rally, stated that the mission of the rally was to present the party’s gubernatorial candidate who, according to him, is an indigene of Ikorodu, to the Ikorodu electorate .

“We are here to formally present our candidate, who is your son, for the position of Lagos State Governor to you”.

He stated that ADP is a credible alternative.

“Our party is the credible alternative to what is exiting now. Whatever we do is always credible and that is why we are presenting credible candidate for the position of Lagos State Governor to you.

“The time has come to change the narrative in Lagos State and we are assuring you that Babatunde Gbadamosi is competent to take us to the promisd land”.

The ADP Chairman also called for support for all the party’s Assembly candidates in Ikorodu division.

Earlier, Mr Bolaji Osinowo, the State Secretary of the party, in his opening remarks, stated that ADP will change the face of Lagos State if voted for.

He also assured Lagosians that the governorship candidate of the party is competent and undertstands the dynamism of the state.
