The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Ikorodu branch, has called the attention of the Lagos State Government through the office of the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly and the representative of Ikorodu Constituency I, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, to the challenges being faced in the Lagos Judicial Division sitting in Ikorodu.

The association made this call when Hon. Agunbiade, who is equally a lawyer and former Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary and Human Rights, visited the High Court Complex on Wednesday, October 24, to assess these challenges.

A source within the Ikorodu NBA branch confirmed to THE IMPACT that Barr. Shakiru  Omolaja, a senior Bar member and fiery Public Commentator and Human Rights Crusader, had drawn the attention of the lawmaker to these problems.

THE IMPACT also gathered that Barr. Omolaja, with some other lawyers, conducted Hon. Agunbiade round the facilities within the court premises during the visitation.

The lawyers, according to reported gathered, also requested for more judges in the Ikorodu High court to handle matters.

It was further gathered that the lawyers also requested for office spaces for lawyers within the High Court Complex as well as an alternate sitting between the Magistrate and High Court due to the present lack of capacity of the court.
