“I am seeking your mandate to represent you at the State Assembly for another term. I am sufficiently equipped and well positioned to further push Ikorodu higher through legislative advocacy, cultured humility and pragmatic representation in the Lagos State House of Assembly”, Hon. Agunbiade declared.

“ It is a fact that I am not the only person qualified to represent Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, as a result,  I am not indifferent  to the ambition of others who wish to represent this same constituency in the Assembly.

“But my current aspiration is propelled by greater conviction that the peculiarities of our political circumstances as a people, require someone with the operational knowledge and experience of the systemic complexities of legislature to be able to engage fellow legislators and other arms of government in competitive lobby and advocacy in matters that concern and are capable of bringing succor and further dividends of democracy to the people of Ikorodu Constituency I.

“Let’s not leave our destiny to the sentiments of individual ambitions, but rather, to the conviction of the impact an individual could make on the collective interest of the constituency and the State at large.

“My experience in the hallow chamber has given me a strong conviction that a viable legislature and effective representation is achievable only with experienced legislators who have knowledge of the workings and dynamics of the legislative arm of government.

“So, I am of the firm opinion that this is not a time for Ikorodu to lower its political relevance or extinguish her glowing flame by unconsciously making moves to start afresh when we can gallantly move ahead with more dignity and benefits by consolidating on what we have attained so far”, he stated.

“Having come this far as a people, I am persuaded by logical reasoning to appeal that we should strive to remain more relevant by once again using me, SOB Agunbiade, as a political tool to open more doors of opportunities for Ikorodu from year 2019”, he stated while offering himself for further service.
