The worrisome state of Igbe road, which residents have been calling the attention of the government to, also formed one of  the major issues of the discourse.

“We are fully aware of the situation and we empathise with our people who ply the road daily. We have had meetings with HI-Tech and they have assured that before the full construction work on Bola Tinubu/Igbe Road commences, palliitative measures will be taken on Igbe Road to cushion the effect of traffic diversion of the reconstructed road.

“Also at the Town Hall Meeting in Ibeju Lekki, His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode said the construction is in phases and I believe that Igbe Road will be one of the phases at the long run but we will still continue to push for it because failure to reconstruct Igbe Road will not really improve the traffic situation and road networking within the LCDA”, he stated.
