Mrs Bolanle Benson, wife of the Member of Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Babajimi Benson, and over 500 beneficiaries of the December edition of the iCare Foundation’s monthly distribution of ‘Apo-Anu’ (Bag of Mercy) have endorsed the federal lawmaker for another term.

The endorsement came on Saturday, December 16, 2017, during the distribution of ‘Apo-Anu’, which contained rice, beans, beverages, indomie, milk, groundnut oil, sphagetti and other items at the Hon. Babajimi Constituency Office in Ikorodu.

The initiative, which has been on for over a year, was designed by the lawmaker to provide feeding succour to the less privileged and other needy in Ikorodu division.

Speaking at the occasion, Mrs Benson enjoined the beneficiaries to give their support to her husband for the second term.

“I welcome you all to our monthly programme once again. You know your representative and son, who incidentally is my husband, has been doing all he promised to do and all that you have sent him to the National Assembly to do. Invariably, he deserves your support for the second term”.

“One good term deserves another and the reward for a performing representative is another term”, she added.

“I’m in support of his aspiration and I’m enjoining you too to give your supports to him so that he can continue to represent you and also prosecute his laudable programmes for you” ,she appealed.

“Our plan is to prevent anybody from going to bed hungry which is why we designed this programme. Our prayer is that you will not have cause to come back for it”.

Responding, the beneficiaries sang many songs to endorse the lawmaker for a second term while they also thanked and congratulated him for quality representation.

In his response, Hon. Benson said that, “Before this year finally comes to an end, there are lot of things that God will still do in each and everyone’s lives. Let us continue thanking Him for his mercies and protections over us.”

The lawmaker, whose address were laden with praise songs, said further:

“I want to implore our people in Ikorodu division to remember those whose houses were demolished to pave way for the construction of roads that would benefit the entire division in their prayers. You should also extend hands of friendship to them during this festive season”, he pleaded.

“I pray that God should give them the capacity to confront the challenge”, Hon. Benson stated .

“I should be the one thanking you for your supports because without it, I cannot be where I am presently. You are the one that sent me to Abuja and what we are only doing with our programmes is to report back to you”, he stated.

“You have not seen anything yet because we still have so much to do in the coming years. Our aim is to make life more abundant and meaningful for our people. Please, continue to remember us in your prayers so that we can continue to do more. I can assure that next year would be better than this year”, he assured the people
